The OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) program allows people of Indian origin living abroad to enjoy benefits such as multiple entry, lifelong visa-free travel to India, and parity with NRIs in some services.
Eligibility
- Former Indian citizens or their descendants
- Parents or grandparents of Indian origin
- Spouses of OCI cardholders
Documents Required for OCI Application
- Proof of Indian origin (previous passport, birth certificate, parent’s passport)
- Current valid passport
- PR card or citizenship proof of country of residence
- Passport-sized photographs according to OCI specifications
